Messer Type-F01
The Me02R-F01 Messer Type-F01 is a mobile suit that appeared in Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway.
Design & Development
A fifth generation mobile suit manufactured by Anaheim Electronics for Mafty's raid on the Adelaide Conference[1]. Although it is a sister machine to the Penelope, more epoch-making technology has been introduced since it is equipped with a built-in Minovsky Flight Unit[1]. Its overall height exceeds 26 meters and its arms are considerably larger than the standard mobile suit's size[1]. While it bears the name "Gundam", it has a shape that stands out as a monstrous silhouette[1].

Notes & Trivia
- The original novel design was done by Yasuhiro Moriki. The redesign that first appeared in SD Gundam G Generation F was done by Kazumi Fujita.
- The Type-F01 is visually identical to the G Generation redesign minus the large orange lower leg armor which was given to the Messer Type-F02.
- The Messer's name and model number are based on the Messerschmitt fighter aircrafts used by Nazi Germany.
- Messer means "knife" in German.
